Milo’s Kitchen Treat Truck coming to ArkansasAugust 25, 2014
By Karen Martin
Our three dogs have been sorta bored during the recent blast of hot weather. They don’t want to race around the back yard like they usually do, but there aren’t all that many passers-by, cats, turtles and other invaders to bark at from the air-conditioned comfort of their rug in front of the glass door in the living room. What’s a dog to do?
Milo’s Kitchen Treat Truck comes to the rescue this weekend, bringing samples of dog treats like chicken meatballs and grilled burger bites (all made in the U.S.A. with domestically sourced meat and no artificial colors or flavors, according to the company) to six of the state’s dog parks.
Here’s the schedule; 7:30-9:30 a.m. Friday (Aug. 29), Lake Wilson, S. Lake Wilson Road, Fayetteille
2-5 p.m. Friday (Aug. 29), Gulley Park Guerrilla, 1850 E. Township St., Fayetteville
7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 30), Bentonville Bark Park, 2400 N. Walton Blvd., Bentonville
2-4 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 30), Murphy Memorial Dog Park, E. Nursery Road and Fifth St., Rogers
7:30-9:30 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 31), Park Park Off-Leash Park, 4301 Rebsamen Park Road, Little Rock
2-4 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 31), Burns Park, 2700 Willow St., North Little Rock
Along with handing out treats, the Milo folks are providing a canine-ready photo booth for family photos or doggie selfles, a backyard-style lapdog lounge, a walking path with dog beds, water bowls and puppy toys to investigate, and doggie bags full of treats to take home. It’s all free.
