On Thursday, September 6th, Glen Campbell brings his Goodbye Tour to his native Arkansas. Later that night, the Arkansas Motion Picture Institute (AMPI) will bring its first STAR Award to him.
Immediately following Mr. Campbell’s concert at Robinson Center Music Hall, AMPI, the state’s champion of film in Arkansas, will honor Campbell’s “career of outstanding achievement in music, film and television.”
Following the presentation by Arkansas’s First Lady Ginger Beebe and Arkansas Native Mark Wright, President and Chief Creative Officer of Show Dog – Universal Music in Nashville, a reception for Mr. Campbell will be hosted by AMPI at the Argenta Community Theater.
Featured special guests will include James Keach (Walk the Line) and Trevor Albert (Groundhog Day), director/producer and producer of the upcoming Glen Campbell Goodbye Tour documentary feature.
Reservations for the reception are $100 per person and are available at ArgentaCommunityTheater.org, by calling 501.353.1443, or by sending a check to Arkansas Motion Picture Institute, PO Box 5607, North Little Rock, AR 72119.
Proceeds will benefit AMPI and the state’s film festivals, and Alzheimer’s Arkansas.
Because of limited space and preparation requirements, the reservation deadline is noon on Wednesday,, September 5th. The names of paid, reserved guests will be at the door, as no tickets will be issued.
Acceptance of the invitation and attendance at the reception will grant the filmmakers permission to use guests’ names, likenesses and/or voices in their upcoming feature.
