Last year, Levi Agee interviewed SSS co-director Christopher Farris Terry:
Q. Is there a sequence in the film of which you’re most proud?
A. Well, when Hank III [grandson of Hank Williams] invited us to his house, and we got three different interviews and he played four songs for us to film for the movie, I kinda realized then that this was getting really huge.
Also, right before this, we had flown to [New Orleans] and driven out to Phil Anselmo’s [Pantera, other bands] house and got an interview with him on his land. … The questions I asked Phil have never been asked in any interview with him before. This guy has done a lot of interviews and has a legion of fans, so that made me realize this was something special as well.
