Transformers: Dark of the Moon —DJC dissents in his review

June 29, 2011

Actually, I haven’t seen it. But most of what I’ve heard has not been good. But here’s our man Danny-Joe Crofford, the new Marketing and Events Director of War Memorial Stadium, with his review (sent, no doubt, from his iPhone):

The latest installment of the Transformers franchise does not disappoint. It is ten times better than the last and depending who you ask, better than the original. It is a very, heavy special effects driven film and the effects are just as good as Avatar. The story follows Sam Whitwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf, and his troubles of finding a job after saving the Earth twice. He has a new love interest played by Rosie Huntington-Whitely, who actually has an important part in the film. According to the film, it was the Transformers landing on the moon that started NASA program. Evidently Megatron’s plan was to get a hold of this Cybertron technology to save their dying planet, but it crashed on the moon. Of course, the new film is nothing but a good robot vs. bad robot slugfest, that includes several of the main Transformers demise. It is a 3 hour movie (with trailers) that is a non-stop, action packed thrill ride, that deserves to be a summer event movie. The 3-D is the best I’ve seen this year and is worth the extra few bucks. Again , you’re not going for the actors or the story, you’re going to see the special effects and it is worth every penny.

C’mon, Philip, let’s have a review from someone who has actually seen the movie!

Uh, I haven’t seen it. DJC obviously has.

Yeah, that was my point. DJC’s press-release-generic review reads like it was written 6 months before the film was even released.

    Gotcha.
