Everyday Sunshine — The Story of Fishbone tonight in Hot SpringsMarch 24, 2011
As part of the annual Valley of the Vapors Independent Music Festival, which runs through Saturday, Lev Anderson and Chris Metzler’s Everyday Sunshine — The Story of Fishbone airs tonight at 7 p.m. at Hot Springs Malco Theater. After the screening there’ll be a Q&A session and performance by Fishbone lead singer Angelo Moore, aka Dr. Madd Vibe.
(Metzler sent me a copy of the film but unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time for me to post a review. But this being a Fishbone-friendly area, I’ll post one in a day or two. I’m sure the film will be available on DVD directly — the website indicates this summer.)
If you’re able to get there earlie in the day, you can catch a screenings of Rock Under the Red Flag at 4:30 p.m and Plaster Caster at 5:15 p.m.
Remaining performances at Low Key Arts, 118 Arbor St., and The Art Church, 301 Whittington Ave., include Apollo 18, Dana Falconberry and Holly Cole and the Memphis Dawls, Japanther, Nora O’Connor and Andrew Anderson. Tickets for individual events are $5. Call (501) 282-9057 or visit valleyofthevapors.com
