Foo Fighters’ tease us … a first glimpse of the new albumJanuary 19, 2011
Good morning all. Below you will find the first 29 seconds of “Bridge Burning,” the opening track of the Foo Fighters’ mysterious seventh full length studio album, due to be released sometime this Spring, simultaneously with Jame Moll’s similarly mysterious documentary on the band.
Admittedly that doesn’t tell you much (it’s a teaser, you see), so I’ll tell you what I know.
The album, produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Dave Grohl’s home in California’s San Fernando Valley. The no computers/no software used. Bob Mould and Krist Novoselic make cameo appearances, while former Nirvana touring guitarist and longtime extended FF family member Pat Smear has joined Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett in the band.
