In a comment on an earlier post, a friend directed me to this video. He said:

This one was popular when Paul and I both lived down there

That song got some airplay down there, but I’m not sure if it was played much anywhere else. Never heard of the band again. One of our classmates claimed to have done a lot of cocaine with them, but you really couldn’t credit anything John said as being in any way truthful.

And of course I remember it. I believe it was a Top 20 hit. And, if I remember right, I actually met some of these guys as well (though your nose cone monkey has never been the kind to sniff and tell). But that was the ’70s. And law school.

And it’s still geographically incorrect.

    I remember dancing with a girl while this was playing on – yes – a Rockola.
